The origin of the Albanian word *Drapër/sickle comes from:
1) D is its shape and2) *raper>praer>prer/cut is the meaning of sickle.
(The word sickle comes the albanian word thika/knife)
The *Drapër is a semicircle, a D-shape, they used that letter D to create the word, which is the pictogram of the object. The grek language got it from Albanian language because the greek alphabet does not have the semicircular letter D and the word pret/cut.
What's wrong with that word?
Now, after 8000 years, that I know the codes more than the pre-Albanians, modern linguists know much less than them, or to be more accurate the modern linguists know nothing about this, if I were to build that word today, I would build it with the letter Ç, because it represents better the shape of sickle. it's more specific as a pictograph for *Draper, I'd call it *Çapret.
